The Hope Institute for Children and Families Mission:
To support children and families to reach optimum growth, independence and joy.
Hope’s Core Goals
By 2010, Hope will:
- Expand services to the Chicago metro area
- Launch community classrooms in public schools
- Integrate more children into the community by decreasing the number of children living on campus and increasing the number of children living in community group homes
- Launch adult services via Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILAs)
- Reshape campus residential programs to focus on children who are medically fragile and/or have dual diagnoses
- Increase health services on campus
- Increase the capacity of Hope’s community health services
The Hope Institute for Children and Families Vision
Building on these goals, The Hope Institute’s long-term vision is to be a statewide and nationally recognized center of excellence:
- Providing evidence-based, empirically-supported residential, educationsl and health services to children and families
- Conducting research and disseminating findings with university partners that will significantly improve the science and delivery of services
- Developing and training professionals/paraprofessionals in the provision of services to children and families
