<p>Jean Watson once noted that “caring is the essence of nursing”.  I agree that caring is probably the best description of our talented and dedicated staff of nurses.  Members of the Hope nursing staff are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. <p>Marissa is an adorable girl with big brown eyes and the most genuine smile you’ve ever seen.</p>
<p>But because she lives with Down Syndrome, autism and Tourette Syndrome, every day is a significant challenge for her.</p>
<p>Before Marissa came to Hope, her moods would shift violently – from laughing and happily singing, to screaming and swinging her arms wildly at anyone within reach.</p>
<p>Her mother, Carol, is a special education teacher, so she was better equipped than most to care for a child with developmental disabilities. Still, she worried about what Marissa’s future would hold.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[<div style="margin-left: 5px; margin-top: 15px;">For the second year in a row, the Noll Dental Clinic is participating in the American Dental Association&#8217;s &#8216;Give Kids A Smile&#8217; program.  The program enhances the oral health of large numbers of needy children and highlights for policy makers the ongoing challenges that disadvantaged families face in finding dental care. As part of the program, thousands of the nation&#8217;s dentists and their dental team members provide free oral health care services to children from low-income families across the country.</p>

<p>The children of Hope support the  community, too. I&#8217;m pleased to announce that Hope&#8217;s children have been  invited by the Springfield Art Association to participate in the  organization&#8217;s 2012 Personalities Paint event. Through our Exceptional  Arts Program, our children have created beautiful artwork to be  auctioned off at the Springfield Art Association event on Saturday.</p>

His parents were desperate to find a place that could keep him safe and healthy, so that he could focus on learning.</p>
