Judith Bukowski, Ph.D.

Dr. Bukowski is Chief Operating Officer, The Hope Institute for Children and Families.  Dr. Bukowski earned her Ph.D. in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

As the COO of The Hope Institute, Dr. Bukowski serves as the chief administrator for facility operations overseeing community and on-campus residential and educational programs for the developmentally disabled children and adolescents.  Responsibilities include program planning and development, project management, policy/procedure development, cost and resource management.

Dr. Bukowski has over 30 years of clinical and administrative experience in the provision of services to person with disabilities.  Dr. Bukowski has held a number of administrative positions, including serving as Assistant Associate Director of the Office of Mental Health Illinois Department of Human Services (formerly Illinois Department of Mental Health and Developmental disabilities) where she supervised and directed the organization, planning and development on a state-wide basis all Department of Human Services delivery systems, programs and treatment facilities for the mentally ill; provided direct administrative expertise; directed the operation of the mental health facilities through supervision of hospital administrators, serves as the chief, non-medical staff advisory planning and directing all forensic psychiatry programs.  Dr. Bukowski has current program efforts underway in autism mental health services, school reform, and quality improvement.
